Welcome,
I am pleased to say that Sports Day was a big success! The sun was shining brightly as the children took part in eight different activities.
There were egg and spoons race, archery, javelin, running and throwing races, filling the day with lots of fun and excitement.
Parents joined in too, running their own race, which made everyone cheer loudly. Some of the school staff also raced, making the kids laugh and cheer even more.
It was lovely to see so many families staying to enjoy a family picnic on the school field.
Here are the house point totals.
1st - Cherry - 718
2nd - Willow - 714
3rd - Lime - 707
4th - Birch - 696
A big well done to all the children for taking part and working so well in their teams.
REMINDER - water only in water bottles please.
School Day in September
In relation to the school day I have decided to extend the school day by ten minutes from September. This was the preferred method of making up for the additional week in the October 1/2 term both in staff survey and the parent consultation. This means that in September the school day will run from 08:30 - 15:25.
Now that this decision has been made I will continue to work with colleagues as we refine our school improvement priorities for next year and what will be addressed through this additional ten minutes each day.
Thank you for your continued support.
Ms Andrewes

Year 6 Residential
What an incredible few days away! The children were so excited and really engaged with all of the activities. Our first day saw us taking part in archery, canoeing and zip lines, as well as working together to protect an egg from cracking.
Our second day was just as active, climbing on crate stacks, raft building, trebuchet water balloon fight and bushcraft, with a fun disco and tuck shop in the evening. We finished on the third day with some high ropes before saying goodbye to our tents. Well done all the children who went; you represented the school to the highest level.
